Admission Information
The Bayonne Medical Center School of Nursing admits students of any race, color, gender, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The School of Nursing graduates one class each June. Class size in the nursing courses is strictly limited. Qualified applicants will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis. Once a class is full, additional qualified applicants will have the option of being placed on a waiting list.

I. Requirements
1. Test of Cognitive Skills II scores: 98 or 95 with 49+ verbal reasoning.2. High School Diploma or Equivalency Diploma
3. High School Chemistry or the Equivalent **
4. Official High School Transcript or GED
5. Birth Certificate
6. Three (3) Professional or Educational References
7. Proof of LPN Licensure, if applicable- Eligible for Advanced Placement, TCS II score of 85 with 49+ verbal reasoning.
8. Personal Interview
* Only Foundations of Nursing will be considered for transfer.
** Applicants can be referred to courses to fulfill this requirement.
*** All documents listed must be submitted before interview.
II. Procedure for Processing Applications
1. TCS II results are available 4 weeks after the test date.2. Applicants who have achieved the required score and who have submitted all required documents will be notified to schedule a personal interview.
3. Applicants who do not achieve the desired score will be so notified. The TCS II exam may be taken only once.
4. Qualified applicants with a complete admission folder, including interview, will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Applicants will be notified in writing of their admission status within two (2) weeks of the meeting.
5. If accepted, the applicants must submit to the School of Nursing $100.00 nonrefundable seat reservation deposit, payable to Hudson County Community College, within three (3) weeks of acceptable notification. After that time, placement in the class will be on a space available basis. Class size is limited.
