Bayonne Medical Center’s Department of Surgery encompasses all of our surgical specialties.  Our operating room staff is extremely well versed in the latest laparoscopic procedures, such as cholecystectomies, appendectomies, chest surgeries and many gynecological procedures. Using a scope as small as two millimeters, our laparoscopic surgeons use minimally invasive techniques and leave much smaller incision scars.  Breast cancer patients can take comfort in the fact that a sentinel node mapping procedure aids our breast surgeons in diagnosis and treatment options.  If you suffer from chronic pain, you will welcome the news that our anesthesiologists and pain management team provide minimally invasive procedures that can eliminate pain entirely or disperse it over a wider area so that it is not so acute and debilitating.  Also, our orthopedic surgeons are experts in total joint replacement.
