About Bayonne Medical Center

Established in 1888, Bayonne Medical Center is a 278-bed, fully accredited, acute-care hospital located in Hudson County. Since opening its doors more than a century ago, it has been committed to providing quality, comprehensive, community-based healthcare services to more than 70,000 people annually. With its finger on the pulse of the community, Bayonne Medical Center continually develops new and expanded services to meet the changing needs of the people it serves.

Placing great value on the lives and wellness of every segment of the community, from newborn to elderly, Bayonne Medical Center offers a complete spectrum of healthcare specialties. Among the services offered are medical and radiation oncology; cardiac care; sophisticated diagnostic laboratory and radiology; renal care; and maternal and child health. Additionally, the medical center offers comprehensive inpatient and same day surgical services, behavioral health services and numerous senior services, including adult day care.

Our accreditations and affiliations
Bayonne Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the American College of Surgeons for Cancer Care, the American Diabetes Association, the College of American Pathologists, the American Association of Blood Banks, the American College of Radiology and the Medical Society of New Jersey. Memberships include the American Hospital Association, the New Jersey Hospital Association, and the Hudson Perinatal Consortium. The medical center maintains programmatic affiliations with the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation and the Association for Community Cancer Centers.
